iBeacon.

Indoor mapping (for example: during a visit to a sporting event at a large stadium) just took a step closer to becoming ubiquitous due to Apple’s newest iOS7 as the firm has teamed up with MLB to target micro-locations thereby (ideally) enhancing any given end-user’s experience. Towards that end, NFC seems to be the next logical step in this development. Whether or not it is taken is yet to be determined…

In Cloud We Trust?

Leaving the slow download speed complaints aside (regarding Apple’s newest iOS) it’s clear that the Cloud is an ever-increasingly integrated / prevalent feature of their entire eco-system. Said strategy raises two issues: one) it’s clear that the firm is focusing less and less on the iPod; and; two) in light of the on-going NSA surveillance dust-up in America (let alone what goes on globally) do consumers really want to place their data in the hands of those that parse it?
