‘Li-Fi’

The LED lightbulb holds the potential for faster Wi-Fi network speeds… which could also mean energy-savings as an added bonus (due to said bulbs potential to become ubiquitous).

FAIL?

It looks as though hubris and a case of poor-timing might have resulted in Apple’s iPhone 5C being a failure (in relative terms to the successes Cupertino’s enjoyed during the last 5 plus years of their run of seemingly one success after another…)

Still Contentious…

The legal wrangling between Apple and Samsung took another nasty turn as Samsung was ordered to comply with the latest request for information (which the firm has been reportedly stonewalling on).

Just Track It!

Proper Attire, Required?

The era of ‘wearable, smart-watches’ looks to have been launched in earnest (and, of course, just in time for this year’s holiday season!)

Selling Out.

Google’s latest plan to sell user’s endorsements (of goods, products, services, etc.) is yet another example of how Big Data is not only more and more prevalent but another step towards an Orwellian reality… (which paradoxically, people the world-over are contributing to due to the unfathomable amount of data being produced / shared!)

‘net TV.

Internet-over-TV might sound like a big idea (for those in America) but this is (unfortunately) – yet another – example of where the nation lags behind (ride on a subway in a city like Tokyo and said service offering is essentially ubiquitous). Of course, look no further than the nation’s Telco Industry for a major reason why this is the reality.

Saving Green.

Toyota’s (Prius) price-reduction is not only welcomed but yet another incentive for consumers (hint, hint…. Americans that still largely won’t get out of their cars) to purchase a hybrid-vehicle.

Roundabout.

Arguably, what Samsung has lacked in innovation (i.e., largely copying Apple’s lead) the firm has more than made-up in gimmickry… (although, this might be an actual breakthrough that has wider, commercial application).
