TV’s Demise…

Estimated to be a $167 billion dollar market, even the (US) Supreme Court’s ruling over the upstart Aereo, streaming television services (as an alternative to being tethered to the ever-dwindling and draconian Cable / Satellite TV offerings in America) show no signs of abating (which in theory should bode well for American consumers*). Note: Asterisk see footnote as this pitch has gone on for a long-time now and has essentially never become a reality.

Collusion?

A Big Four (Silicon Valley) lawsuit regarding said firms not hiring / poaching, etc. other’s employees raises some interesting questions; such as: if 64,000 plaintiffs were involved what does that say about how finite tech-talent actually is?

Lego “Live”

(Perhaps) inspired by The Lego Movie, Lego Fusion (set to launch this fall in America) is the latest trend in (traditional / physical) games whereas any given end-user’s creation can be created, photographed and imported into free online games (further blurring the lines between ‘real’ and ‘virtual’ worlds).

‘e-Rebellion.’

Given the success of the Twin-V (which was also panned when the company initially announced it) it is possible that Harley-Davidson’s approach to releasing an ‘e-Cycle’ will also be successful (given the firm’s extensive prototyping / alpha-testing methodology, etc.)
