Rushed Judgment.

The UN Commission for Human Rights has stated an obvious (but nevertheless worthy of being stated point) “more needed to be done to ensure that surveillance was balanced against its harm to personal privacy.” A good question now (amongst many): is it too late to turn-back the tide against mass surveillance?

RIFF-ed.

While the firm has been largely immune to one of the High Tech Industries’ underpinning, Redmond’s announcement of an 18,000 job cut (while in all probability something that’ll be hailed by analysts) will certainly have a real impact on countless individuals… even with the Nokia redundancy that’s reported the largest percentage of this announced number.
