While it is laudable that Uber has promised 50,000 jobs in the EU a myriad of questions (aside from personal safety, regulation and/or taxation arise) including ‘what sort of job i.e., can any given person make a viable and sustained living via being an employee?
Reportedly, over 20,000 websites in France have be attacked recently… yet, another example of the growing trend of governments being hit with said approach…
Given the current maturation within the Smartphone / Tablet-space, is yet another OS (by Samsung) actually needed (let alone welcome?)
Given that innovation is arguably not the firm’s strongest suit (look no further than Apple’s lawsuit regarding copyright infringements) it will be interesting to see how their Tizen OS differentiates itself from the current industry titans’ offerings.
Samsung’s Z1 Smartphone powered by their homegrown OS is the firm’s earnest attempt to decouple itself from being dependent on Google’s Android OS. Outside of South Korea where a strong degree of nationalism denotes allegiance the the nation’s domestically-spawned ‘Chaebols’, the question is: will this bet payoff?
While potentially not as damaging (perhaps even as embarrassing as Sony’s recent experience) nevertheless, America’s Centcom Twitter account was hacked (i.e., cyber-vandalized) whilst President Obama giving a speech on cyber-security!
If only humanity always embodied the spirit of solidarity and unity… think of the possibilities!!!
