Microsoft’s decision not to dump their ‘low-end’ phones proves (at least) the following: one) the firm is still planning on leveraging Nokia’s brand (which was a dominant player in developing markets; and, two) the company is seemingly still attempting to be ‘all-things-to-everyone’ which is a major reason why the company has been a laggard in a number of markets; products; services and technologies.
