Launched in 2008 (seemingly an eternity ago by today’s standards) Apple’s App Store hit their 25th Billion download today (as phenomenal as this figure is it clearly would not have been accomplished without employing the most impressive crowd-sourcing effort until this point in history!)
To illustrate: there are 550,000 in-store apps; 248,000 registered iOS developers and over $4 Billion paid to them in royalties (and counting)… so, it should come as no surprise that the firm has set such an unprecedented feat. Well done!
